Well let me start by offering apologies for the silence. I’ve just been trying to take a break from the media game and get myself together. If you know me you know that I’m almost always on the move. I’m pretty efficient at getting projects done, but that doesn’t mean that I’m always totally organized on the back end of things. So far it hasn’t hurt a client, but I don’t want to let get to that point. The year has been one of organizing. I’ve found some gems of photographs I had forgotten about until I opened a folder.
While mostly it has been tiresome to organize three computers (two which barely work) and countless hard drives things are coming together and it feels good. And it feels like the right thing to do. It has been incredibly refreshing to not be on social media so constantly, minus thanking the tons of you for so many pleasant birthday wishes. It really did mean a ton how many of you reached out to me on that day.
Besides that I’ve been hunting for great waves, eating healthy, and packing up things to give away as I travel. I led an art class at a local school and was blown away by the depth of their responses when I started the class asking them to tell me what was good about a certain photograph (see below). I was amazed at the level at which they could appreciate and connected with what I was after that night under the stars.
I’m still not sure exactly where I want to go with this blog, but hearing a few of you reach out and ask for it to continue means a lot. Although when I look at the numbers there still aren’t many people following it. Then again it is still pretty new. So I will continue to write even if it is only a place for me to voice my feelings to those who I can’t take with me on every journey and hope that with time it becomes more of a platform for sharing the good in the world with a larger audience.
I’ve got a few more things to get in line and some other news coming, but I just wanted to say hi and that I hope you like what I have in store.
